Born out of the World Economic Forum, the Global Shapers Community is a network of inspiring young people under the age of 30 working together to address local, regional, and global challenges.

There are hubs all over Canada: You can search for them if you want more info. I started this research in May 2022. I became distracted with other issues, therefore this page is incomplete. Please do your own research.

COVID-19 has put a spotlight on the
growing disparities in communities and has
increased the need for coordinated action.
This year, Global Shapers worked to address the social determinants
of health, reduce disparities in COVID-19 outcomes, build healthier
communities and promote health equity in our global systems.

Our current donors and nonprofit partners include: Social Shifters, Ethical Coach, Rosamund Zander, The Climate Reality Project, Accenture, Salesforce, Project everyone.

Driving Responsible Leadership

At the 2020 Annual Meeting, a new multi-year partnership between Accenture, Global Shapers Community, and the Forum of Young Global Leaders (YGL) was launched to help organizations and individuals cultivate environments in which responsible leadership can flourish.

The Responsible Leadership Programme aims to equip Shapers and YGLs with the skills, attitudes, and capabilities required to lead responsibly amidst unprecedented global challenges.

Mobilizing for Impact

Inspired by Proctor & Gamble‘s #WeSeeEqual campaign, Global Shapers around the world mobilized to raise awareness and fight for gender equality.

With support from P&G, the Global Shapers Community launched a call for solutions to gather the best ideas from around the world. Over 100 city-based Global Shaper hubs submitted proposals for grassroots projects, and five hubs were selected for their winning ideas: Giza, Ahmedabad, Cape Town, Belo Horizonte, and Minsk.

We are becoming increasingly aware that solutions to our global challenges must purposefully engage youth, at all levels – locally, regionally, nationally and globally. This generation has the passion, dynamism and entrepreneurial spirit to shape the future
