Dear Mr. Fai
I am writing to you in your capacity as President of the BC Civil Liberties Association. It has come to my attention that your organization has taken a public position in support of vaccine passports.
It is clear that your organization does not recognize the tyranny of vaccine passports, nor the lack of safety and efficacy of these injections.
We are experiencing the worst violations of our inherent rights and freedoms in Canadian history – the right to security of the person, the right to informed consent, and the right of parents to make medical decisions for their children. It concerns me greatly that the BC Civil Liberties Association, an organization that purports to fight for our constitutional rights and freedom, is in favour of such a blatant violation of our rights.
Your position is even more egregious when one considers that this injection (it is not a vaccine) does not prevent infection or transmission. It has not been proven safe or effective; long-term safety data does not exist; it is still in Phase III safety trials; and it has not been formally approved and is thus experimental. The adverse events and deaths following injection are significant and the manufacturer has been granted legal and financial immunity for any injury or death caused by their product.
Your claim that – “we have no doubt that the available COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective” is without scientific validation. Further, it is beyond your capacity as lawyers to make such a bold declaration. None of the following statements have been verified by scientific and medical evidence:
- The potential side effects of the COVID-19 vaccines are very rare and largely treatable (even when not treatable, the risks of the vaccines are dramatically less than the risks of COVID-19).
- The vaccines reduce the risk of infection and serious disease in the individual who receives the vaccine.
- Unvaccinated persons are at a higher risk than vaccinated persons of transmitting COVID-19 to other people.
In fact, the opposite is true.
I direct you to the extensive, fully referenced, 32-page declaration produced by the Canadian COVID Care Alliance. The CCCA represents over 500 members, comprised of physicians, research scientists (including virologists, vaccinologists, and immunologists), and others; including highly accomplished professors from top Canadian universities, allied healthcare professionals, and lawyers from across Canada, who have serious concerns with respect to the management of the COVID-19 pandemic in this country.
On the topic of vaccine passports, they state:
“There is no valid reason for either a vaccine passport or vaccine mandate to protect oneself or others with respect to the present measured threat to society.”
“Vaccine passports will not stop the spread of the virus. It is now abundantly clear based on emerging studies and clinical observations that both the vaccinated and the unvaccinated can contract, carry and transmit COVID-19 and carry similar viral loads143. This fact alone entirely negates the purpose of a Vax Pass or vaccine mandates.” (bolding theirs).
“Vaccine passports and mandates for SARS-CoV-2 are not scientifically supported for need or effectiveness, and they are anti-democratic, anti-human rights and freedoms and anti-choice. Vaccine mandates against those Canadians who simply wish to make their own personal choices around their bodies are completely unconstitutional. The Canadian government must immediately halt all vaccine passports and mandates relating to these still largely unapproved, investigational genetic technologies, and ultimately choice must be preserved.”
They have also produced a short video on the topic of vaccine passports that effectively summarizes why we do not need vaccine passports.

This begs the question – how, and based on what scientific and medical evidence, did the BCCLA come to your bald statement and how and where did you deal with the avalanche of contradictory evidence? To promulgate false and misleading statements as you have done in your October 4, 2021 posting is not only irresponsible, it is potentially criminal.
Your board and staff are either uninformed of the law, the science, and the ethics or don’t care. In either case, you fail in your responsibility to protect our liberties and civil rights.
It also appears your directors don’t understand or respect the medical ethic of informed consent, the Universal Declaration of Bioethics and Human Rights, nor the Nuremberg Code.
Our membership has been generous donors to the BC Civil Liberties Association. I cannot in all good conscience have our members support an organization that is actively undermining our rights and freedoms
Unless the BCCLA makes a public statement that such violations of our inherent and constitutional rights will not be tolerated, I will ask our members to discontinue any support for the BCCLA as it appears the BCCLA is fighting against us and not for us.
I look forward to your considered response so I can properly inform our membership.
